A Summer Celebration at the bg真人
Friday August 5 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Join us for an evening of free activities for Members and stop by your favorite exhibit.
The only reservations required would be for The Science Behind Pixar and OMNIMAX®
Last entry for The Science Behind Pixar at 8 p.m., last OMNIMAX® show at 7:30 p.m.
Free activities include:
- Building-wide scavenger hunt. Complete the scavenger hunt and get a prize!
- Tower A will be open from 5 to 8 p.m.
- Rotunda tours offered every half hour starting at 5 p.m.
- Slime making in KidSPACE from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
- Raptor Inc show in Corbett Theater at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.
Get up close and personal during this exciting presentation featuring live avian ambassadors! You can see and learn about the adaptations which make birds of prey supreme hunters of the sky. Tailored to specific age groups, the program will describe raptor diets, habitats, nesting habits and their role in the food web, as well as many other interesting topics. Artifacts – such as wings, feet, pellets, etc. – will be available for hands-on learning and raptor vocalizations may be played. The shows are 30 minutes each. - bg真人 Public Library will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. There will be book giveaways, swag and library card sign ups.
- bg真人 Preschool Promise, a non-profit working to ensure equitable access to high-quality preschools and better preparedness for future schooling for all children, will be in the Rotunda from 5 to 8 p.m.
